Clarke Delighted With Foster Capture

Steve Clarke has said he is delighted to welcome Ben Foster back to the club, but this time on a permanent deal as he joins from Birmingham.

Foster has joined in what press speculate is a £4m deal, although the club are reporting it as undisclosed, and has signed a 3 year contract, with an additional 2 years in the club's favour.

Speaking to wba.co.uk after the deal was concluded for the 29 year old, our new head coach said.

'Ben's been a priority signing all summer, his performances last season were exceptional and it was important for the club to strike a permanent deal for him. It's a great signing for me, and an even better one for the club. I think the supporters will be delighted, a quality goalkeeper is worth 10-12 points a season and that's certainly what we think we've got in Ben Foster.'

Glad we've got that one sorted, some good continuity at the spine of the team now should give us all a lift ahead of the new campaign.
