Clarke Excited By Liverpool Opener
Steve Clarke has admitted he is excited at facing off against his former employers on the opening day of the season.
Speaking to wba.co.uk Clarke said of The Hawthorns opener.
'I was delighted to see we were playing Liverpool. I've got nothing but good memories from my time at Liverpool so to face them in the first game, here at The Hawthorns will be fantastic. It takes a lot to get me excited but this morning I was excited.'
Let's see how long it takes him to get 'excited' out on the touchline!
Clarke also revealed that Roberto Di Matteo said some very positive things about Albion, when he asked him.
'When I knew I had the chance to get the job here I spoke to him about the club, and he has really good things to say about Albion and the people here.'
