'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Olsson Praises Former Boss

Jonas Olsson has again praised Roy Hodgson for his impact at Albion, and he'll no doubt be informing Sweden about our former managers style in the dressing room.

In quotes carried by the Birmingham Post, our 29 year old centre half praised Hodgson's ability to get a team fighting for each other and the way he can inspire and motivate players into giving 110%.

'He's a top man, I really enjoyed working with him so I wish him the best. What did he bring to Albion? Two things. One is, how well he organises teams, we've been a lot more solid under him and second, he's brilliant when it comes to inspiring players. It's unusual for an English manager to be that involved at the club, and I really liked that.'

Well Roy's had a solid, if unspectacular start to his England career so far. I think most (even if they disagree on the choice of player) like the fact he isn't sticking rigidly to the old guard and is looking towards the next generation, his biggest task is breaking up the clique of senior players. If he can't get them onside he has to boot them out.
