Baggies End Hughton Interest

Baggies End Hughton Interest

It's being reported that Albion have scrubbed Chris Hughton from our shortlist of potential replacements for Roy Hodgson.

The E&S, amongst others, suggest that the reason is because Albion didn't want to have a long drawn out bitter battle to get him in the hotseat, as it's well known that Birmingham have stated their intention to fight tooth and nail to keep him at St Andrews, and without Hughton seemingly making a move to force the issue himself, it's suggested that Albion will now look elsewhere so our new boss can be instilled as soon as possible.

Ralf Rangnick is still believed to be on the shortlist along with the other mentioned managers such as Michael Appleton, Alan Curbishley, Steve Clark and Gus Poyet, despite reports in Germany over the weekend suggesting he had accepted the job contradicting online speculation that he too had been removed from the shortlist.

Basically nobody but the Albion board know what is going on, and everyone else is chasing their own tails to create news.

I was hoping it would be all sorted by now, but the board are clearly considering all the available options so we get the best choice possible to build on what Roy started.
