Focus On The Game, Not Next Season

Keith Downing has said that the players are fully focused on the Bolton game, and they haven't let the Roy Hodgson situation distract them.

Speaking to wba.co.uk ahead of the match our assistant coach said it had been a difficult week for the club, but the players had remained focused on the tasks at hand.

'We've got our own personal goals. We want to finish higher than last season, with more points. We've achieved a lot in the season, like ten clean sheets, which we want to add to and we know the importance of the Bolton game. We have two big games coming up and we want to focus on that. It's been a difficult week but once that whistle blows on Sunday it's a game of football and everyone is geared to try and win the game.'

Downing also said he was looking forward to the fancy dress element of the game, and he thinks it will serve as a good send off for Roy.

'We've got 4500 supporters going up there and we want to put up a good show and finish as high as we possibly can. I hear there is fancy dress to give Roy a good send off and that will be good. The fans play an important part.'
