Roy's Response: Kings Of The Midlands!

Roy's Response: Kings Of The Midlands!

Following yesterday's draw to Villa, Albion remain nine points clear of our local rivals and with only two games remaining we have secured the local bragging rights for this season - the first in 33 years!

Speaking to wba.co.uk after the game, Hodgson firstly dealt with the Hutton handball.

'We can feel aggrieved if we want because there was a clear penalty decision that didn't go in our favour. If you take the way the game panned out, I think maybe not 0-0 because both teams could have scored, but a draw was probably fair.'

Moving on from the game though, Roy couldn't wait to speak about the breaking of yet another hoodoo this season.

'I'm happy to confirm for the first time in goodness knows how many years we're going to finish above Aston Villa in the table, so it's not a bad day. It could have been a wonderful day - but one mustn't be too greedy.'

Does anything else need saying after the game short of, now to finish in the top ten please!

No mention of Olsson, and considering the defensive tactics of our manager we have practically played with 10 men all season. Losing the spine of our team in Ggiven, dunne, bent and of course petrov for large parts of the season. All in all like running a 100m raise against Ironside then clapping yourself on the back afterwards. So let me pass my congratulations on. Next year we may be on an even footing and we will see who has the best team in the Midlands!!

From MotD you've been playing with less than 10 men for most of the season! Make sure you stay up and the battle will be on onelove :-)

Looks like it could be a summer of upheaval for both of us if Hodgson departs to be honest Stourbridge and I really hope he doesn't, by the same token I'm amazed McLeish is still with you. Be nice to have a couple of good seasons where we are both flying and performing and see how the tables line up then. But yup I'm enjoying it, it's been a long time coming for us as you know. Here's to good future battles!
