Jones - I Should've Buried That!

Jones - I Should've Buried That!

Billy Jones has admitted he was gutted not to find the net in the dying stages of the game yesterday and secure us the double over Villa this season.

Speaking to wba.co.uk following the game, Jones admitted it would've been the perfect time to get his debut Premiership goal, but he takes solice in the fact that Albion reached their aim for the season of 10 clean sheets.

'It was a chance I should have scored. I've watched it again in the changing room, because I was a bit cheesed off, I connected well but I just didn't get it on target. I'm gutted because to have scored the winning goal in the derby with literally the last kick of the game would have been nice. It was sloppy to miss the target.'

As for the aim of 10 cleansheets, he passed the praise onto Ben Foster.

'It's a great achievement. I'm very lucky that I have Ben behind me, he saved me twice yesterday. I think he deserved his man of the match award because I think he was the main reason we managed to keep a clean sheet.'
