Hodgson Praises Our Defensive Qualities
Roy Hodgson has praised the team for the effort against Liverpool, and believes we defended from the front in our historic win.
Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson admits we were pretty lucky in the game, but said we deserved it given our effort.
'The defensive qualities of the side were very good, and not just the back four. I thought the midfielders were very good and the two front players didn't half work hard to get back and do a good job for us. We've been lucky to go home with a narrow victory.'
Balances out though really doesn't it, games this season we've taken nothing from when we deserved to can be offset by games like this where we certainly deserved something from the performance.
