Dorrans Hoping He's Impressed Hodgson

Graham Dorrans has said he hopes his spectacular long range strike against QPR will be enough for Roy Hodgson to keep him in the team.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Dorrans was clearly pleased with his second goal of the campaign and he's now focused on making up for lost time in our remaining games after what has been a frustrating season for him.

'It was nice to see my shot go in but it was all about getting the three points and, thankfully, we managed to keep a clean sheet. A few people have said it was like my West Ham goal last season, but as I've said, the main thing was grinding out that performance. I hope I can get a run now, that was my aim as soon as I got back in the side. I wanted to stay in for the rest of the season - and that's all I can do. I know I need to keep performing because there are talented people on the bench who can come in.'

Dorrans also said the team were optimistic in our run in believing we can get four wins to finish as high as is possible.

'We want four wins and I don't see why we can't get them. They will be tough games but we will keep going, we hope to finish above as many teams as we can.'

Finishing the interview, Dorrans spoke briefly about his injury troubles.

'The head coach came in and straight away I injured my ankle. Since then, it's been niggles all the way but hopefully I can keep myself fit now, I can get stronger and stay in the side and push on.'

Hopefully if he can keep himself injury free in the run in, with a good pre season behind him, we'll again see the best of Graham Dorrans next campaign.
