Rovers Return No Issue For Andrews

Keith Andrews has said he is too long in the tooth to buy into the hype surrounding his first return to Blackburn since leaving the club in January.

It shouldn't really come as a surprise to anyone that he feels that way given his words on his return to Wolves after joining us, all he's concentrating on is helping the Baggies to secure three points.

Speaking to wba.co.uk the 31 year old said the occasion wouldn't phase him and nor would any hype from the press.

'The tables have turned now and I'm a West Brom player, I'll be doing everything I can to get the result at the weekend. Facing former clubs is just one of those things you've got to do, the older you get the less it means. It's not one of those things I worry about.'

The only thing Andrews does seem to care about is Albion getting back to our standard of performance after recent games, as securing survival (which I think has happened) and finishing as high up the table as possible.

'We're not entirely happy with how we're playing at the moment and we're looking to put that right on Saturday. We've said over the last few weeks we don't want the season to fizzle out, we want to kick on and finish well. The gap is eight points to the bottom three and we'd like to keep it at that or make it larger and give ourselves some breathing space.'
