McAuley Wanting Hodgson & Olsson Stay

Gareth McAuley has called on Albion to finish the season strongly to show Roy Hodgson we are making progress, and he also doesn't want Jonas Olsson to go anywhere either.

Speaking to the E&S the centre half said he was sure Hodgson would stay, but he knows a strong finish to our season can only help things.

'I'm sure the situation will be sorted out in the summer, the players are hoping that if we can finish the season strongly and progress that will help the situation. We all hope the gaffer stays because he has improved us and everyone enjoys working with him.'

As for Jonas Olsson, who enters the final year of his contract at the club in the summer, McAuley reiterates that he hopes a deal can be done to keep the defender with us, because we miss him when he's not in the team.

'Jonas is a huge player for the club and when he's not in the team we definitely miss him. He's been a great servant to the club and hopefully something can get sorted out to keep him here.'
