Long Needs Some Good Fortune
Shane Long has said he knows he has a tough battle to replace Marc-Antoine Fortune in the starting line up given his recent form.
Speaking to the E&S Long said he knows he has a battle on his hands to get back into the first team after making his proper return to training.
Long made his first start since New Year's Day against Wigan, but he knows he can't take that for granted with Fortune breathing down his neck and Albion's recent high scoring results.
'I'd rather be starting every game but there are 20 or 25 players in the squad who would say the same thing. Obviously I want to get a run of form heading into the Euros and there are nine games left to do that, but Marco has been brilliant in the last three or four games and he is a force to be reckoned with.'
