'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Character Saw Us Through

James Morrison has praised the character of the Albion squad for seeing us to a point against Wigan.

The Baggies have amassed 22 points on our travels this season, a record beaten only by title chasers Manchesters' City and United and speaking to wba.co.uk Morrison said the away record was due to the self belief that exists within the camp.

'I think the lads battled really hard at Wigan, and maybe a year or so ago we might have lost the game. We weren't at our best, but you need to dig in and that's what did. We showed great character to get a point.'

We are now 14 points away from the drop zone and surely clear of any relegation worry, so the aim is now to look up and finish as high as we possibly can.

'We our current home form, we should be confident of picking up more points. We've got to keep going because there's a belief in the team that we can do well., we just want to get as many points as we can.'
