Turn Up Early For United Searches

Manchester United have requested that Albion fans turn up early for the clash because they will be subject to a test run of Olympic searches.

Not quite body cavity thankfully, but LOCOG (the London Olympic Organising Committee) will be testing spectator searching and screening procedures ahead of the waste of money that is London 2012.

These procedures include a meet and greet (sounds so English doesn't it!) ticket check away from the turnstiles where fans will be required to empty their possessions into an A4 plastic bag prior to a full search. United recommend fans do not bring bags into the ground as this will obviously delay matters.

Items fans will not be able to carry into the ground include fireworks, guns, knives, drugs, any kidnapped persons hidden in a coat pocket, glass bottles, plastic bottles, cans and nuclear reactor cores.

The obvious ones on that list if found will leave you liable to arrest, and possibly mental sectioning.

Amnesty bins are provided for any cans or bottles so fans can dispose of them easily prior to entry and LOCOG thank supporters for their cooperation.
