Roy's Right Back Headache

Roy Hodgson has right back issues ahead of Sunday's game against Manchester United.

Billy Jones is still in a race for fitness for this weekends game and Steven Reid has already been ruled out of the match with the ankle injury he picked up against Chelsea.

Reid's length of time on the sidelines will be known shortly as he has been in Holland today for a scan with a specialist, and with Jones not yet having returned to training following his hamstring pull, Roy could have a decision to make on whether Tamas will continue there, or whether even Nicky Shorey will swop sides.

Owing to the terms of their loans, we are unable to recall either Jara Reyes or Joe Mattock.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Keith Downing said.

'We are not really sure how bad Steven's injury is yet and how long term it is. We're waiting for the results and we'll take it from there. Billy Jones has progressed well this week, but he's not in the main group training but he's certainly improved his rehab. He's not that far away.'

Jerome Thomas remains a doubt for the match aswell with his niggly hamstring.
