Hodgson Pleased With Andrews Impact

Roy Hodgson has said he is hopeful of extending Keith Andrews deal at the end of the season following how well he has settled into life at the Baggies.

Following his short term deal in January, Andrews has already said he would love to extend his spell here and Roy Hodgson has told wba.co.uk that an extended deal was always the plan, and Andrews is certainly earning it.

'The move was always with a view to 'let's see how it goes and make certain we all know where we're going to be in the summer and then we will review the situation.' He is confident enough to do that because he realised by coming here all we were guaranteeing was a contract until the end of the season, then at the end one of two things would happen.'

Hodgson says the benefit of those two options were that if all went well the deal could be extended without much fuss, but if for any reason he didn't settle, the club and Andrews could part amicably without further fuss.

Overall, only one of those options seems likely....Andrews will get a nice extension come the end of the season and hopefully he can continue going from strength to strength.
