'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Andrews Delighted By Fresh Start

Keith Andrews has said he is delighted to have been handed a fresh start by the Albion and he was now focused on proving the club should offer him a longer contract.

Andrews joined the club late last night on a fresh transfer and is contracted until the end of the season. After falling out of favour at Blackburn Rovers, he has spent most of the season on loan at Ipswich Town, making 19 starts and finding the net 9 times.

Speaking to wba.co.uk last night he said.

'It's been a little hectic. I went into Blackburn not knowing where I'd end up, here we are at 10.15pm and I'm just delighted to be here. Transfer deadline day is nice when you're not involved, it's nice sitting at home having a cup of tea and seeing other people chasing around. When you're looking at it from the canteen at Blackburn you just want to get out and play football there they want you and where you want to be.'

Roy has been a long term admirer having tried to sign the player during his time at Fulham, so Andrews knows he's wanted here and now he's just got to prove he should be here.
