'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Morrison Questions Ambition

James Morrison has questioned the clubs ambition because he believes we should be pushing on.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail about our lack of movement in the transfer window and the possibility of some action, he said.

'I doubt it. It sums us up. I think it's our policy that we don't bring players in so I don't expect it to happen. The Zenit one is dead so there you go. We've had injury problems, this club can go places but it doesn't build. We just settle for being in the Premier League and I believe with the group of players we've got we can kick in.'

In some senses he is right, but this season is about building. It's about building us as a regular Premiership side, and Hodgson with some of his transfers has been building for the future, and even with the crop of youngsters we have he's been introducing them well.

So I can see where Morrison is coming from, but it's a bit like he's jumped the gun based on what's come before rather than what appears to be Roy's intentions.

Maybe he's just frustrated like some fans with how our luck has run this season, and I certainly can't blame him there.

He does say that Roy is ambitious aswell but he feels that a few new faces that will give everybody a lift could help us turn the corner quicker.
