Roy's Response: We Stayed Strong

Roy Hodgson was delighted with the determination of the team following Stoke's late equiliser in the game, as we pushed on to take the lead again.

Speaking to after the 2-1 win (our first away at Stoke for 30 years), Hodgson was pleased to see the players not let their heads drop with the 86th minute equiliser, but redouble their efforts to try and secure all 3 points again.

'I'm very pleased with the result, performance and the support - I thought that was excellent. It was a very satisfying day. It was very strong of our team to come back and get the winning goal, when most people would have had Stoke down as having the impetus.'
