'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Roy's Response: Relieved We Passed The Test

Roy Hodgson was delighted to see us book our place in the fourth round of the FA Cup with a dramatic 4-2 victory over Cardiff.

Hodgson was even more pleased with the result owing to the fact 8 regular first teamers were missing through injury.

Speaking to wba.co.uk after the match ended, Hodgson said.

'I'm pleased we won, these matches are always going to be difficult. It's good we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot by losing, we did surrender a two goal lead though. Once again we almost paid a high price for looking as though we'd taken a sensible lead and then committing Hari-Kari by gifting them a goal back.'
