Hodgson Pleased With Cox
Roy Hodgson has hailed the performance of hattrick hero Simon Cox against Cardiff and said he was delighted to see him take his chance in the first team again.
Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson said Cox has done his chances of being involved against Norwich this weekend no harm at all after his Spurs outing and then the FA Cup tie.
'Cox was a clear positive from today. Simon has had to be patient for his chance, and when it came, he took it. I thought he did well at Tottenham as well. Adding the three goals to his Tottenham performance is a clear positive for us as a club and a great one for him. He showed me he deserves a place in the team, we'll be thinking very seriously about that.'
