Tricky Cardiff Trip Made Worse By Injuries
Roy Hodgson is again calling on our fringe players to step up to the plate when we take on Cardiff in the 3rd round of the FA Cup.
With so many players remaining out injured the opportunity will be there for the fringe players to again step up and give Hodgson a headache.
Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson said.
'It wouldn't have been an easy game if we'd have been firing on all cylinders in terms of our playing personnel. With the somewhat wounded personnel we have at the moment it's going to became an even trickier game. That's what the FA Cup is about I suppose.'
In another call to the squad, he adds.
'I see tomorrow's game like the Spurs one, a chance for players who have been waiting for a long time to get their chance to show me what they can do. They've been telling me I should trust them and give them a chance. I did against Spurs, and they didn't let me down. Now they have to do it again.'
