'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Roy's Response: We Deserved The Point

It was a hard fought point today at QPR, and Roy Hodgson believes we were good value for a share of the spoils.

Speaking to wba.co.uk following the 1-1 draw, Hodgson was pleased to see Long grab his fifth goal of the season and he believes we created enough and played well enough to deserve the point.

'I thought the longer the game went on, the more we looked likely to score. We were a bit unlucky to go in 1-0 down as we didn't concede many chances. In the second half we kept going at them.'

The second half also obviously saw Peter Odemwingie return to the first team, and Hodgson was happy with his effort.

'Peter did well when he came on, I thought he started slowly but it's a long while since he played and he got stronger and did very well for the goal.'

Hopefully we'll get to see more of Odemwingie alongside Long now.
