'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Roy's Response: We Lost To The Better Side

Roy Hodgson has said that we simply didn't do enough against Liverpool yesterday and ultimately lost to the better side on the day.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson was honest about our performance, but he did believe the penalty decision went against us.

'We weren't in particularly good form today, we can do a lot better. But one of the major things that went wrong was having a very harsh penalty awarded against us to early on. I think the 25,000 inside the stadium, including the Liverpool fans, will probably agree it was a very harsh penalty. Our chances of winning the game were seriously disturbed by that decision.'
