'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gera Hoping For Derby Cameo

Zoltan Gera is hoping he can earn a place on the bench for the upcoming Villa clash, and maybe even get a cameo appearance on the pitch.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Gera said he believed he was now ready to really kickstart his second spell at the Albion after successfully completing a 45 minute run out for the reserves.

'The ankle felt fine last night, it's just the fitness that is the key now. I thought I was in better shape before the game but I realise I need lots of work. It's the head coach's decision if I'm ready for the Villa game, I'm not ready for a full game but maybe 20 to 30 minutes, but it's the head coaches decision.'
