Hodgson Hails Electric Fans For Atmosphere

Hodgson Hails Electric Fans For Atmosphere

Roy Hodgson couldn't have been more pleased with the backing of the Baggies faithful in todays derby.

Speaking to wba.co.uk the gaffer said.

'The mood in the dressing room is good, of course. This game means an awful lot to the people in our region, so this was an important win. You could see how passionate both sets of fans were and it was a fiercely competitive game played in the right spirit. The atmosphere was magnificent from the very first minute. I thought our fans were really good and shouted them down at the earliest opportunity.'

As for the game itself, Hodgson was obviously delighted with our performance and he was delighted to see us gain yet another clean sheet.

'It was nice to get a third clean sheet of the season, that already takes us past the two we had last season, so that's a positive. If we could get 3 every 8 games, we wouldn't have much to worry about. I thought we defended quite well, apart from our two goals we had four or five occasions when I also thought we were going to score.'
