Appy Targets Derby Revenge

Appy Targets Derby Revenge

Michael Appleton is looking for revenge in the Black Country derby after last season's disappointing 3-1 loss.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Appleton called on the players to start briskly and put Wolves under pressure from kick off so that we don't see a repeat of last May's away game.

'Since the gaffer came in, the first half against Swansea and Wolves were probably the only two 45 minutes' where, as a group, we've been disappointed about how we've played. They key thing on Sunday week is to start the game right. If we start properly and get a foothold in the game then we'll have a good chance of collecting the three points.'

Appleton is now keeping his fingers crossed that the team doesn't suffer any unwanted international injuries, but at least with the game being on the Sunday it is an extra 24 hours if somebody has a knock.
