Wood's Coming Out Of His Shell
Michael Appleton believes that Chris Wood's personality is now starting to shine through, and it's that confidence in himself that has caused his 8 goals in 11 games return.
Speaking to wba.co.uk Appleton said.
'I think he is coming out of his shell a little. He is probably a little bit quiet and shy with the media but within his group he has actually come out of his shell and shown a little character. That was the same when we went to the States, all of a sudden he started to find a personality.'
Appleton also believes his unsuccessful spell on loan to Barnsley, and then his successful spell at Brighton have been key to his development both in terms of his all round game but also his mentality.
It's those features Birmingham are really benefiting from.
