Chris Wood Wants Blues Extension

Young striker Chris Wood is hopeful that the Baggies and Blues will agree an extended loan deal as he's loved his time in the first team.

The original loan spell came to an end yesterday, and both clubs are in discussions about extending the deal.

Wood himself has already spoken and said he would love to return as he's really found some form whilst on loan and is building quite a name for himself, most recently bagging a brace against Forest.

Speaking to the Sunday Mercury the 19 year old said.

'I would love to be here for longer, but it's down to the two clubs now. We'll see how it goes from there but both clubs know I want to stay here and kick on.'

Being absolutely honest Wood is unlikely to get near our first team at the moment, and there's little benefit to him of returning to reserve football now, so I'd imagine it's in all parties best interests for him to continue at Blues, getting good game time under his belt.
