Albion Delighted With Chris Wood's Progress

Albion Delighted With Chris Wood's Progress

Chris Wood has certainly been catching the eye whilst on loan at Birmingham City, and Michael Appleton is delighted with what he's seen.

Speaking to wba.co.uk the assistant coach said of the youngster.

'From our point of view it was very good to see him get his goals and we want him to get as much game time as possible and the more games he gets against European opposition the better education it will be for him.'

After grabbing his first hattrick against Millwall recently, Appleton is delighted with the crop of youngsters we have coming through.

'We forget how young some of the players are, the likes of Joe (Mattock) and Chris Wood have had a lot of experience and even George Thorne aswell. They are nowhere near the best part of their career, that can only bode well for their future.'
