Dawson Going Nowhere

Roy Hodgson has revealed that there has been plenty of interest from clubs wanting to take Craig Dawson on loan, but he's not going anywhere.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson said that almost all the management staff had received enquiries for the youngster, but he wasn't keeping a note of the number, or entertaining the idea.

'Craig had a good season back on loan at Rochdale last season so even before he arrived back here, clubs were asking if we would loan him out. The answer of course was no. That remains the case now that I have worked with him.'

Hodgson adds that he sees absolutely no benefit for Dawson going on loan again, so you have to figure he's going to get a decent amount of first team time as the season progresses.
