Hodgson Delaying Odemwingie Decision

Roy Hodgson will decide tomorrow whether to pair Peter Odemwingie and Shane Long together from the start against Stoke.

Speaking to wba.co.uk the gaffer said that he didn't want to rush Odemwingie back into the team too quickly, and so hadn't yet made his mind up whether he would start from the bench again.

'The prospect of Peter playing alongside Shane is a partnership that excites both fans and us. Will I start Peter on Sunday? It will depend on his fitness. We will continue to assess how fit he is and whether or not he is ready yet to go in from the start.'

Hodgson added that he also believes Long will take the pressure of Odemwingie and that in itself should see him thrive again this season once properly fit.
