Odemwingie Looking At Top Ten Finish

Peter Odemwingie has backed the team to finish in the top ten this season, and said our performances in the two opening games are exactly why he wanted to stay.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Odemwingie explained that he believed in the quality of the team and he's sure we can do more than simply achieve our stated goal of staying in the league.

'I believe in this time because we do have quality, we have shown in the first two games. I'm in a good team and hopefully we will finish in the top ten as that is our target for this season.'

In terms of his own fitness after making a 15 minute appearance and almost nicking a goal, Peter added.

'I wasn't 100%, it's just that I really wanted to play. Hopefully very soon I'll get back to my normal shape.'

He has to be close to it for him to have been included, so with a good of training, and maybe a 90 minute run out against Bournemouth he'll be 100% fit and sharp for the rest of the season.
