'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Long - It Was A Bad Decision

Shane Long has said the team are frustrated with the build up to Chelsea's equiliser given the Lampard moment in the box.

As we know, referee Lee Mason decided it wasn't a foul by Jonas Olsson on the Chelsea midfielder, but yet it also wasn't a dive although it looked to me, shall we say, Lampard made the most of it and went down like a sack of spuds.

However, he still accepts our defending should've been better and we had time to end the danger before they put the ball in the back of the net.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Long said.

'It was costly for us, but we had plenty of opportunities to put it right. I think it should have been a free kick but when it wasn't you need to clear the ball a second time. Hopefully these decisions will start going for us as the season progresses.'

I do however, much prefer the quotes carried by the Birmingham Mail.

'I don't want to get myself in trouble but he was already on a yellow card. It's a blatant dive and he hasn't given them the penalty, so he should have given a freekick but I suppose it's a tough decision to give at Stamford Bridge.'

Yup, I think that's pretty much what every Albion fan thinks!
