Hodgson Remains Delighted With Long Impact

Roy Hodgson has said that he was delighted to see Shane Long continue his debut form against Chelsea yesterday.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson beamed about our new 24 year old signing after he helped run the Chelsea defence ragged.

'Shane had a very good debut last week and scored on his debut and he had another very good game and scored again today. His overall performance was excellent. He can be rightly proud of his performance, he was outstanding.'

Hodgson also namechecked Jonas Olsson and Ben Foster for their contribution.

'Our goalkeeper and centre half should also feel very proud, they were against a team which has players of the very highest level and yet Shane and those two definitely came out with flying colours.'
