Long & Tchoyi A Big Positive
Roy Hodgson has said that one of the big positives from today was the partnership that started to form between Somen Tchoyi and new signing Shane Long.
Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson said he was delighted to see Shane Long get on the scoresheet and he believes both Long and Tchoyi led the line well and caused united plenty of problems.
'I thought he and Tchoyi were very, very good together up front. They played very well and asked a lot of questions of the defence.'
Hodgson also reserved praise for Ben Foster in saying that despite conceding two goals, he didn't really have much to do.
'I thought he was very competent, he didn't have an awful lot to do. He couldn't do much about the first goal, and the second was a deflection so in no way can he be blamed for either goal.'
