'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Foster Was A Shut Out Star

Speaking after Ben Foster's WBA debut, Roy Hodgson was full of praise for the 28 year old keeper.

Speaking to wba.co.uk after the match, Hodgson said that he had always rated Foster and was under the impression that Alex Ferguson didn't actually want him to leave United when he did, so he's delighted to have convinced him his future (at least unless Blues get promoted), is with us.

'He's just the type of goalkeeper we need and it's a happy day for me because this is the second time since I joined that we've kept a clean sheet. We were very pleased with Ben because he made one excellent save.'
