'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Tchoyi Story Continues At Portland

Michael Appleton described Somen Tchoyi's second half performance as outstanding in our friendly against Portland Timbers.

Speaking to wba.co.uk after the match Appleton was full of praise for the Cameroonian player and said.

'Somen was outstanding, we improved a lot in the second half and Somen really reaped the rewards of that. So we've got to ask ourselves the question 'can he play there in the Premier League for a numerous amount of games or do we just class him as an option to play there if things aren't working out?''

Appleton revealed that the stats say that Tchoyi has played striker for a 135 minutes and scored four goals in that period of time.

It's certainly an interesting option if Tchoyi can show the consistency upfront.
