Jonathan Woodgate, Gianni Zuiverloon and others.

Roy Hodgson has ruled out a move for defender Jonathan Woodgate by saying.

'There is no truth in the Woodgate rumours.'

Simples.

-----

Gianni Zuiverloon has been snapped up by Real Mallorca following his release from the club. He has signed a 3 year contract, and curiously it's said he's moved for an undisclosed fee? I'm assuming that's some sort of buy-out related to the one year option we did have on him but chose not to use.

-----

According to the Guardian and others, Roy Hodgson is planning on holding talks with former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves.

The 30 year old has been plagued by injuries since his £17m move to United and has apparently been posting videos of himself on youtube to prove his fitness.

If any deal is done it'll likely be a pay as you play deal owing to his injury record.

-----

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail Roy Hodgson has insisted that removing George Thorne from the England U20's was the right thing to do for his Albion career.

'George Thorne is a player who attracted my attention when I first arrived. I reluctantly asked the England people to release him because I think this pre season is a great opportunity to give me some headaches about who I play on the first day of the season.'

-----

A new goalkeeping name has been announced, Finnish stopper Jukka Lehtovaara. The 23 year old apparently spent a few days trialing with the Baggies last November, and the TPS Turku keeper has been named goalkeeper of the year 3 times.

The Birmingham Mail report says that if the move comes off it could spell the end of Boaz Myhill, however Chris Brunt believes Bo has all the attributes necessary to be the club's No 1.

'He could become first choice, if Bo gets his head down and works hard why not? He's got plenty of Premier League experience, he played well when he did play for us and I'm sure all of the lads would be more than confident with him behind us.'
