Roy Hodgson has said that there are a number of quality goalkeepers out there that he has his eye on as he seeks to find a replacement for Scott Carson.
Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson assured fans that he was well on top of the situation of finding us a new No 1 following the strange departure of Carson to Bursaspor.
'There are good goalkeepers available at the moment, there are also lots of foreign names that are being thrown at us. If anything, we're suffering from a barrage of suggestions.'
Hodgson says he is still weighing up his options and it's too early for him to comment definitively about any possible names, but he does add.
'What I can say is that many of the names would be very good additions to the squad and would be able to fill Scott's boots.'
Hodgson also took the opportunity of the interview to wish Scott well for the future in saying.
'I would like to wish Scott well and thank him for the work he did for the club in helping to keep us up. I wish him all the best with his new adventure in Turkey.'
