Top Class Pitch For 2011-12
It's been a busy time at the Hawthorns over the summer, and our playing surface will now meet the criteria for UEFA's highest standard of pitch.

As well as laying the new Desso GrassMaster surface, the club have also leveled out the pitch and it's gradient.
Speaking about the summer works, head of facility operations and development, Mark Miles said.
'The replacement of the playing surface also provided the club with an opportunity to fulfil one of our long term goals, to lessen the gradient of the pitch, which, combined with the improved quality of the Desso surface, means we will come into line with the very highest UEFA pitch requirements.'
Work is also underway at the training ground with the club installing hydrotherapy facilities to aide in player recovery.
