Brunt Sad To See Carson Leave

Brunt Sad To See Carson Leave

Chris Brunt has admitted that he was sad and surprised to see Scott Carson leave.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail Brunt said he was close to Scott and he realises that it will be a big change for him and his family, but it's a new challenge and he wishes him the best.

'Everyone has their own reasons for moving on, but it's sad to see him go because he's a good friend. I will keep in touch and I wish him all the best.'

Brunt did add however that some of the criticism aimed at Carson during the season wouldn't have had any bearing on his decision to leave the club.

'I don't think he was affected by criticism, and a lot of it was unfair. You can be two different people, on and off the pitch. It's a difficult position to play in.'
