Forest To Move For Shorey
It's being reported that new Forest gaffer Steve McClaren is set to bid for left back Nicky Shorey.
The 30 year old's future is considered to be in doubt as the press continually link us with Birmingham's Liam Ridgewell, and whilst I wouldn't mind seeing Ridgewell here as he's a pretty solid player, I don't think we should sign him with a mind to continuing to play him out of position at full back.
He's a far better centre half in my opinion, as for a full back I think he's a touch too slow and not attack minded enough. But maybe that's me.
Shorey, as we know, is no stranger to Forest after having a spell on loan there but you have to question if he'd be prepared to drop down a division?
