Reo-Coker To Shun The Baggies?

There were a number of positive vibes in the press recently suggesting Albion were close to signing the former Villa midfielder - but it's all gone quiet...

Sky Sports 'understood', and many others either heard their own whispers, followed suit or frankly made it up aswell, but it was reported that the Baggies had joined a host of clubs including Villa, Paris St Germain, Borussia Dortmind, Napoli, Valencia, Stoke and a number of other Prem based clubs for his services.

Now Reo-Coker was released by Villa after he refused the contract on offer, speculated by a number of press an offer that didn't meet his own valuation, and it didn't take long for his agent to tell the press all about the interest from Italy.

The Daily Mail however are now saying that he's delayed talks with Albion, although to their credit the opening sentence then says he's shelved talks - so take your pick - and now favours a move to either Stoke or Newcastle after being disappointed that Villa's new manager didn't get back in touch.

You're got to love the transfer silly season haven't you!
