'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Mulumbu Will Not Be Let Go Easily

Roy Hodgson believes it will be difficult for any interested parties to convince the board to sell Youssouf Mulumbu.

Speaking to Sky Sports Hodgson said he expected Mulumbu to stay and his contract to be respected unless the board could be convinced otherwise.

'I don't know if there has been any contact, I only know that if anyone is interested, they should be talking to my bosses because the player doesn't have a voice in this situation. Youssouf has a long contract and that has to be respected and he has given no indication that he plans to break that commitment.'

It's good to see Albion taking a hardline on this, although admittedly most of it speculation. Hodgson adds that he would expect Mulumbu to be here for at least this season even if their are potential suitors around.
