'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Transfer Rumour Roundup

Goalkeeper links seem to be the order of the day for some reason.

The Daily Mail have us losing out on Brad Friedel (if we were ever really in for him) as they suggest he's off to Spurs.

Other rumours suggest we are to go head to head with Wolves for the services of 1.3million rated Preston goalkeeper Andy Lonergan.

But then, there seems a general consensus that we are in the running to re-sign our former goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak from Man United who has told the press that he isn't ruling anything out in his search for regular football.

'I'm open, I would like to play football regularly.'

As goalkeeper links come to an end, we move onto a link for a striker, whom we apparently been tracking for more than two years.

29 year old Real Mallorca striker Pierre Webo has apparently given his current club an ultimatum and his agent has been in touch with club officials to alert us to the possible availability of the Cameroon international.

Media favourite Itay Shechter is apparently going to snub a 2.5 million move to us in favour of a move to Germany.

But as one door closes, another opens and we are now apparently trying to secure the services of 28 year old Derek Boateng who represented Ghana in the last World Cup.

Got to love rumours haven't you!
