New Albion Museum On The Cards

New Albion Museum On The Cards

Albion bosses have said that they are open to the idea of transforming a derelict pub on Birmingham Road into a memorabilia museum for the club.

The Baggies have owned the freehold on 'The Hawthorns' public house since January last year owing to it's historical link to the club.

With ideas of what to do with the space thin on the ground, the official fans' group have suggested it be turned into a museum for all things Baggie related.

Chairman of the group, John Homer, told the E&S.

'It would be ideal as an Albion museum and visitor centre and they could use the car park on match days. One of the most iconic images from the club's past is players photographed outside it with the 1920 Championship trophy.'

The club certainly haven't dismissed the suggestion, and have admitted they would like to see the building back in use within the next 3 years.
