Brad Friedel To Sign Today - I Kid You Not :-)

This is almost worth having woken up early for, the Daily Mail have stopped talking about Aids, immigrants, terrorism and benefit scroungers long enough to say Villa's Brad Friedel will be signing for us today!

Well the Article, if you can in fact call it that, was published yesterday so they might have meant he was to sign yesterday, but I've only seen it today and he hasn't signed yet so they must mean, erm, later today.

Apparently the Baggies are confident that we can beat off competition (Liverpool and Spurs) for the 40 year old Villa keeper. He does I've read have a contract extension on the table from Villa but he's said to be assessing his options.

The Mail also say we are going to tie up the signing of relegated Cup Winning Birmingham City player Stuart Parnaby.

In other news I think this is so likely to happen, I'm expecting Messi to sign next Wednesday.

Maybe this never really happened, maybe, just maybe I haven't had enough coffee this morning.

Well this would surprise me considering he was on TalkSport two days ago saying he's going to sign the contract we've offered him. Strange. Maybe we want Foster instead now? Who knows. I hope Friedel doesn't go though. What a legend in the business!

I take it you appreciated our win over them then Eltoro! Looks like Liverpool is the favourite for Friedel, although unless Reina is off why would he blow his consecutive record if a contract has been offered by you?
