Two Academy Lads Set For Toon Inclusion?

Michael Appleton has revealed that two Academy Graduates could be given the chance to impress against Newcastle on Sunday.

Speaking to wba.co.uk, Appleton said that James Hurst and George Thorne had certainly increased their chances of being involved in the matchday squad following their dedication to training over the past few weeks, but he appreciates that as well as blooding our next generation the Baggies have to make sure they still do their best to win the game.

'I think a lot of the younger lads will be in and around the squad, whether they get a start or are on the bench is something we'll have to talk about towards the end of this week. But I must say over the last week or so, the likes of George and James have been at the forefront of our minds.'

The young lads have been training regularly with the first team for the past few months, so even if they don't get a chance on Sunday it's likely we'll see more of them two (and Sam Mantom) next season.
