Two Missing For Toon Trip
The Baggies will be without Peter Odemwingie and Gabriel Tamas for the final game of the season against Newcastle.
Speaking on wba.co.uk Hodgson explained that there were a number of reasons for Odemwingie's exclusion.
'Peter won't play in this game for a variety of reasons, he's got an ankle problem we're been nursing him through, equally he's played a year and a half's football without a break.'
Hodgson goes on to say that because of the numerous factors, Odemwingie is being given an early rest and have released him to return to Moscow and visit his mum, and rest the ankle so he's fit and fresh for next season.
Tamas has picked up a knock, and has also been released early by the club so he has a more fullsome holiday.
'He links up with Romania, who after the Qualifiers have a South American tour, so his holiday would have been two and a half weeks whereas everyone else is looking at four to five.'
